Ellen Mehta, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Ellen Mehta is a Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced training and a broad scope of practice. As an APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse), she is qualified to perform comprehensive clinical care — including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing medications.

Originally from Brazil, Ellen earned her degree in Business Administration before moving to the United States in 2007 as an Au Pair, seeking cultural and language immersion. During that time, she began exploring new career paths and discovered a strong interest in healthcare. She went on to earn both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University.

From 2015 to 2023, Ellen worked in the emergency room, gaining extensive experience in high-acuity settings. Today, she focuses on advanced medical aesthetics, weight management, hormone therapy, and general wellness care. She also offers full laboratory testing for patients who want to complete routine check-ups or take a proactive approach to their health.

Ellen communicates in Portuguese, English, and conversational Spanish — enough to confidently support Spanish-speaking patients with warmth and clarity. She lives in McKinney with her husband and their two adopted chihuahuas, Calvin and Ian. In her free time, she enjoys working out, studying, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Ellen Mehta é Enfermeira de Família com prática avançada (APRN – Advanced Practice Registered Nurse), uma profissional com formação especializada que atua de forma ampla na área da saúde, incluindo avaliação clínica, diagnóstico, tratamento e prescrição de medicamentos.

Nascida no Brasil, Ellen se formou em Administração de Empresas antes de se mudar para os Estados Unidos em 2007 como Au Pair, buscando uma experiência de imersão cultural e linguística. Durante esse período, começou a refletir sobre sua verdadeira vocação e, ao explorar diferentes possibilidades, descobriu seu interesse pela área da saúde. Decidiu, então, seguir carreira na enfermagem e concluiu o bacharelado e o mestrado em Enfermagem pela Texas Woman’s University.

De 2015 a 2023, Ellen trabalhou em pronto-socorro, adquirindo ampla experiência em ambientes de alta complexidade. Atualmente, atua nas áreas de estética médica avançada, controle de peso, terapia hormonal e cuidados voltados ao bem-estar geral. Também realiza exames laboratoriais completos para quem deseja fazer um check-up de rotina ou monitorar a saúde de forma preventiva.

Ellen se comunica em português, inglês e também em espanhol, com o necessário para atender e orientar pacientes hispano-falantes com segurança e empatia. Mora em McKinney com o marido e seus dois chihuahuas adotados, Calvin e Ian. No tempo livre, gosta de se exercitar, estudar, viajar e passar bons momentos com a família e os amigos.
